GACDL Administrative and Member Support Coordinator Application

The Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL) is the nation’s largest member-funded state criminal defense bar, comprised of more than 1,500 members who are criminal defense lawyers and investigators. Since 1974, GACDL has existed to promote fairness and justice through membership education, services and support, public outreach, and a commitment to quality representation for all.

GACDL is a non-profit organization with a team consisting of the Executive Director, General Counsel, Operations Manager, and the Administrative and Member Support Coordinator.

GACDL members are more than mere colleagues and are considered to be like family members to one another and the staff. GACDL considers paramount the common goals of ensuring zealous criminal defense throughout Georgia and improving the criminal legal system. GACDL works to achieve these goals by offering networking environments, educational programs, and legislative outreach. GACDL’s large, statewide membership means that the Administrative and Member Support Coordinator can expect to build meaningful, geographically diverse, professional relationships despite having only sporadic in-person connections. GACDL members consistently celebrate how the resourcefulness of the GACDL staff, and especially the Member Support Coordinator, enhances their client representation.

The Administrative and Member Support Coordinator is responsible for helping to ensure GACDL’s daily operations are executed efficiently and effectively in furtherance of GACDL’s mission. GACDL operates in a fast-paced work environment and, because the organization is lean, the Administrative and Member Support Coordinator has a variety of job duties and responsibilities including answering the phone and helping callers, providing member relations, maintaining website content, and assisting with event planning and office functions.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, but applicants are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible. GACDL employs fully COVID-19 vaccinated individuals.

The planned starting date is January 2022.
